This term we are basing our sessions on countries, in particular America, Australia and France!

Last week was America! We explored different textures of red, white and blue from the American flag (including a very messy foam play) using lots of fine motor skills to pull, squeeze and push the different resources. We read the book Fourth of July Mice and completed parachute play to traditional American nursery songs! We counted how many bubbles we could pop and used the instruments to make music and shapes together, reaching up tall and stretching from side to side.

The children were all in excellent form last week and there were again some amazing achievements, not least our new balance discs which even the staff found difficult but put at a ladder for support the children managed beautifully!! Well done!

We also have a new ball pit which gave the adults lots of exercise trying to put the balls back as the children skilfully threw them out, at speed!!!
